screenshot = X2 crash

I have an old TNT-ScreenCapture program that works great, but every time I take a screenshot in X2 it crashes. The .bmp image is saved fine, but without fail X2 shuts down and the Windows "send/don't send error report" box comes up.

 

Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a fix or maybe a better way to save a screenshot in X2?

How about "printscreen"

 

then open your paint program and paste it.

You can also use the X+ free utility, it will do a screen capture as well as some other functions.

 

It's a freebie do a search and you'll find the link on the forum

Thats all you need, why open another software when its not needed ??

 

If you use print preview first youll get a white background.

I've been using Gadwins Print Screen for the last six months or so with no problem.

Our ScreenToClipboard function works differently from the 'PrintScreen' method. It will only grab in the graphics area and you can click 2 locations to define a clipping rectangle so you don't have to grab the entire graphics area.

You can then 'paste' the image into programs that accept graphical images from the clipboard.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I just tried out printscreen and screen/to clipboard with no crashing!

 

I'll check out gadwins and snag-it too.
