I have almost finished my 5-axis head/head post (created from Generic Fanuc 5x)

The problem is that the primary © axis post out exactly -90 deg. off.

For example if the primary is supposed to be 20. is will post out -70.

everything else is working great (wind-up retract reposition, limits ect.)

this is MCX2

any ideas?

Thanks

back to the 5-axis stuff,

Now the primary © is turning the wrong direction.

Is this regulated in the post or machine definition?

I have not found anything in the post to turn the primary the other direction but there is a switch for the secondary. ?? headscratch.gif

Well yes there is things in the post to do this. Try to change this in the MD with the axis indicators there, but I think this is going to be in the post. Look at the matb: variables change them to minus and you might start seeing what you are after. You can also put 1 in these and change other axis direction outputs and vaules.

Thanks Millman,

code:

#Machine base matrix (Base matrix to map positions into)

matb1$ : 1

matb2$ : 0

matb3$ : 0

matb4$ : 0

matb5$ : 1

matb6$ : 0

matb7$ : 0

matb8$ : 0

matb9$ : 1

This is one of the post settings that I have not been able to find a clear defintion for.

I'll try changing a few things and watch what happens.

cheers,

Glad to help you with the Vaporware. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

J/K it just sometimes takes that little tweaking here and there to get it is all. I also took alot out of the MPMASTER and put that in my MPGEN5AX posts. A lot of work but there is so much I do like in MPMASTER that is missing from there nice to have it.

Again glad to help.
