3D Path

Hi All: Hopefully someone here can help. I put a file in the ftp site, in the MCX2 files, folder labeled Front.mcx. I can't seem to find any toolpath that will just machine the outside of this part. I colored the part blue where it needs to be machined. I'm not great with 3d but I ran this whole part, and it turned out pretty good, I just need to figure out this one path. Thanks for any help you can give.

have you tried pencil? you may need to put a boundry in as well.

I did try pencil........I haven't ever had very good luck with that path.

Guys I wouldn't ask if I felt I could figure this one out, It is driving me crazy, and I'm sure you Guru's know of a way ! Please help !

Try a Scallop toolpath and boundary off what you need. Pencil with unlimited stepover is a similar path.

Is this on a 4th axis or 5th? This would need the multi axis toolpaths or you would have to do it in two toolpaths.

Easiest way is to delete the .5 radius and do a pencil.

 

If you have to, untrim the other surfs to get rid of it...

It's actually on a 4th axis machine but we don't have the 4th axis capabilities, so I'm machining it as a positional rotary.
