Spontaneous Duplication of Tools

How many people are having duplicate tools created upon coping a operation??? Is ther a bug report reference number??

This is a hard error to duplicate as it seems to happen periodically and is not instilling a lot of continued faith in the stability of the software. This has been going on and never seems to get fixed and I know I'm not the only one that is having this problem. The Operations Manager seems to have never been completely stable and has tried my patients too often and still with no resolution in sight.

Mig,

I've had a the duplication of tools as well as operations & groups re-odering themselves as well as disappearing after doing some minor OP manager organization. This problem seems to fix itself upon shutting the session down and restarting.

The duplication of tools is a pain in the a$$ and we shouldn't have to investigate if the software is doing what it should be. The issue here is not as much dealing with the inconvinece of some unexcpeted behavior, because we deal with that from everyone we work with from time to time but more along the line of having issues present and unresolved for so long.

The company I'm working for has two seats of Mastercam X2 and is proving to be more of a question of weather to keep using X and deal with some of these problems or weather to investigate an alternative CAM product. I'm an old die hard Mastecam user and I used to sell an support the product. I started with my current employer after a year and a half beta testing X and supporting V9 and to be honest I'm starting to have my doubts of weather I would buy the software myself today.

Have to agree with you on that one.

The very few MC crashes that happened to me almost always had something to do with moving/copying in Ops Manager.

On several occasions copying quits working altogether until restarting MC. headscratch.gif

Can't nail it quite yet, but when I do I'll z2g it.

Mark,

I've been on in this boat for along time bailing, telling everyone around me that the holes in the boat are just small and that any of the problems are managealbe.......but I'm starting to think otherwise. I'm going to keep bailing and continue to assist in solving problems not just b!tch about them.

I'm on the verge of going into business for myself and (involves doling out a wack of cash for software) as with many things that changes my perspective a bit.

Remeber there has to be something wrong with the file for ZiptoGo to really do some good at CNC other that mapping a trend ie. common hardware to common problem or common set of variables to common problem. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Some of the problems in the OP manager will resolve themselves upon restarting the session. So the problem happens during working within the OP manager and for some reason it Wiggs-out. Restarting the file solves the problem so this leads me to thinking that ther is nothing wrong with the file but rather the active state of the software hence the need for the restart. I don't think ZiptoGo will relay this information to CNC.

Eric Wenger

X mr1 is what looks to be the most stable release but as of right now I am not on Mait. so I am stuck with SP2... So far MC9.1 has done everything that I have had to do both 3 and 5 axis.

But again I am "playing" with MCX and am ready to go all in once I see this forum not full of horror tales of MCX problems.

Instead full of just how to questions.

on the fence on this one. yes 9.1 was pretty solid and what bugs it had i could work around and or at least knew what to look out for.

IMHO x2 mr1 sp1 is veeerrrry close.

keep in mind some complaints or questions are operator error or misunderstandings of how the software is supposed to work, it was a big change.

i too share some frustrations but gotta move forward sometimes???

Where can I find a list of bugs/unresolved issues if there is such a list.

You might try reading the "What's New" file in the documentation folder
