off topic Routers or inexspensive bridge HELP

If going with Routers, I would second Trevor on the Komo and Andi(Anderson).

I have no experience with Onsrud, so I could not say for certain there.

I would think they would be right in there accuracy wise.

Accuracy wise yes. Strength wise they are not for doing anything but plastic, wood, or model board. Aluminum forget about it. Seen a lot out there if looking toward 5 axis get a dual supported head verse's single supported head like on the Thermwood. Komo cutting Aluminum at max Rpm 400 ipm no problem.

man you guys are great I am going through all these right now on the web. thermwood is to light I think our quintax are in the same boat single sided 5ax head support is to delicate.

the komo was sweet except cabmaxx but they are not wide enough in Y I need 64 min

that CNC auto motion head looks great.... BUT the z axis and bridge looks really weak. I wonder how solid it would be with a 1" cutter on aluminum down at the table.

 

It looks like a stripper pole to me.... if you were cutting RenShape it would be OK I guess.

Call Quintax see what they have for heavy duty... Most of what you see here and on the web is not the heaviest that they can make. They have made some big machines with 40+ HP HSK spindles.
