Net Hasp

Hello everyone : Here at work we have just recently purchased Mastercam level 3 with Design,Lathe,Mill. We have a nethasp. This is the first time that I have used this type of hasp.

Apparently one of the engineers here (wannabe machinist ) Has checked out all licenses. During my absence yesterday. And now he is not around (has a late schedule) .

I want to use MC but I get an error message saying the following : "Error checking out Mill level 3 al available licenses in use"

Anyways is there a way of getting around this issue ?

Unplug his PC. It should only let one license to one PC.

Someone else is prolly got the other licenses.

I can't ! It's in the Engineer office, its on and there are other engineers around that would see me.

It depends on where the dongle is as well, if it is in your engineers computer then no one will be able to use it. But if you know where the dongle is take it put it in your computer go to the program NHasp and then change it to Hasp. It should work.

MasterCam comes with a utility called Aladdin.It

is a licenses utility, and I believe it is on the second disk.When it is installed on the server it

will show how many licenses are avaiaable and who

is using them.The person in charge of the servers

should be able to turn off the license from the same place. Check with your IT people

I guess I'm screwed the nethasp is in the server room (which I have no access to ).

Then I guess we will all have to learn to log out of MC when we are done using it.

You have to have at least 3 licences to have a net-hasp

so that means 2 others have MC running.

1 seat cannot grab all 3 licences.

Ask the other engineers, id tell them im shutting it down too.

IT department also has a late schedule too. I guess this is part of the problem of working in California. The atmosphere is very relaxed here. Plus we are an R&D company. No production here at all (we send it all out).

Late ?? Who starts late, were here @5am and the MEs @6am.

Usually I am here at 6am everyday. Because I like to work a minimum of 8 hrs.. And leave early to enjoy my afternoons at home.

I guess the rest of the guys here just pace them selfs different.

6AM-2:30 Saturday

40hrs a week would seem like a part time job

Do a warm boot on the nethasp server. I have seen this 2 times when the nethasp was holding seats open even when M/C seats had logged off (probably the person powered the computer down with M/C still running).
