In V9 you could create/rectangle and then choose options where you could pick from different shapes. Ellipse being one of them.

Either way you get the same result, but I was just curious if you still had that option.

No, but in create ellipse you can choose between spline, arc, or line as the entities to create.

 

in V9 create ellipse created a spline.

 

in V9 create rectangle ellipse created line segments

Go to X's Create/Ellipse function and there's a dropdown that lets you decide if you want a spline, line segments, or arc segments.

Switch it to 'line segments'.

My question is really only regarding the rectangle. In V9 you could have a rectangle drawn and pick two corners of it to create an ellipse within the rectangle. Instead of entering the x and y radius size. I know it's simple to create the ellipse using the radius sizes, and that's how I do it. Just wondering if the rectangle option was still there and I couldn't find it.

Rectangular Shapes option is still there, but, ellipse is not part of it now.
