debug out put

Dear MC User,

 

How to get the post to out put debug on MCX3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take the time to read it carefully, it is a little like dancing the Tango, one wrong step and you are

Open control panel on your desktop. Switch from classic view to catagory view,upper left control panel box. Click mastercam x icon. Open mastercam properties. Click post support. Clik on disable to enable. Save. Close. When you post your program a orange bug looking thing appears in the lower left corner of your dialog box. Click and enjoy. This is also explained in mastercam help under post debugger.

Iwells, don't you mean to switch from catagory view to classic view. otherwise the mastercam icon does not show up

I'm getting a lot of output on the error portion of the debugger, and it's not outputting any code in the NC output area. I'm using the standard mpmaster that came with X3.

 

Anyone know what I should be doing differently?

Click the green Play arrow. I'm working mine right now trying to get a coolant thing straightened out...

I know that part...what I'm saying after I do that, I get the long list in the error output and nothing in the nc output.

Haven't forgot your coolant issue, Try changing all the ignore to off as a start for your issues.

Is the NC Output window hidden behind another window? Check the 'Windows" drop down menu

No. It's blank.

The new debug, is brutal, especially if you are trying to use it with a post that does a lot of parameter reading, like the MPMaster does.

 

When you update from X2 to X3 the only file that gets updated is the machine def, mmd file

 

If you still have X2 installed, you want want to debug in X2 since you can still use fastmode, which is MUCH more complete than the new debugger.

Unfortunately, X2 is not installed anymore.
