Dynamic rotation

I´m having problems with my computer at home. At work i can press the mouse wheel button and dynamic rotate,but at home i only get a crosshair and then nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this?

At home Im guessing you can pan your graphics across the screen. You want to set the default setting to dynamic rotate. To do this go to the Menu Bar. Choose Settings, Configuration, and then, Screen and then about 3/4 of the way down the configuration page you should see Middle Mouse button/Wheel use. Change that to Spin.

 

With the settings you currently have you can also hold the Alt key and push down on the middle mouse wheel and the part should rotate for you.

Thanks for your help but it´s already on spin. and the thing with the alt button didn´t work either,all that is happening is i see a magnifying with a + inside. This is soooo strange?

go to your mouse settings and change the middle button setting to middle button.

Been there done that Eric,i think it might be something with the Dell Setpoint setting progam that starts automatically when i select Comtrol panel/mouse/setpoint setting. I can´t find the middle button anyehere there...

can you uninstall the Dell setpoint?

I uninstalled setpoint yesterday but i can´t find the middle button setting. Maybe you´re having a different windows? I´m using vista business...

What brand of mouse are you using.

I bought a Logitech VX nano and it caanot rotat in MCAM or SolidWorks. (Per customer service)

That will be the last Logitech product I will buy!

I have a logitech V100 laptop mouse,but i have the same mouse at my job and it´s no problem to rotate on that computer. Today something strange happened. I had a file on usb that i had started to work on at my job and when i started that file on my home computer suddenly it rotated!!! But only like 3 times, then it didn´t work anymore... I think it might be a bug in X3...
