cnc machinist job opening

We are looking for a programmer/set up guy for HAAS machines. We do a variety of work in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and hydraulic tooling industries. You must be comfortable maintaining a +/- .0003 tolerance on parts. Knowledge of MasterCAM and AutoCAD or Solidworks is preferable. Must be a team player.

You guys are funny... We don't have much trouble maintaining that on our HAAS machines, but if you are picky we have a Hitachi lathe and a Mazak mill too.

To be honest, it's difficult to measure that tolerance so anyone would question the ability to machine it on equipment less than the best, like Mori.

 

PS. We have Mazak and Mori, and given the feature we can hold it, but like I said, it comes down to the ability to measure it.

Measuring .0003 is hard? You just use the appropriate measuring equipment.

lol, i can hold .0001 on my SL-30 all day long for pharmaceutical parts. It's all about how well you set up and fixture everything and how you machine it. Also, our mics can measure that without a problem.

Instrument resolution and true accuracy are two different issues, not to mention climate control. Many people think that they can hold tolerances of .00005” since their digital mic reads 5 decimal places.
