I Need a Better Surfacing Finish

Hello,

I generally use scallop to finish with but on this particular part, I was wondering if there was a better alternative to avoid the lines that converge toward the center.

It has some steep walls so I can't use parallel.

That you, in advance for any suggestions.

You don't say what version you're using.

X4 has some new toolpath filters that had done a very nice job the couple of times I've used them.

Some of our moldmakers might have a better perspective on how these new filters are working.

Good surface finishes are thier bread and butter.

In V9, if you don't like scallop's results, you could do it old school.. draw a million lines

and use surface/project..

It's a lot of work, but you have total control

over the toolpath.

Sorry about the lack of information. I tried surface/finish/blend, but it crashes. Not sure if I'm selecting the blend lines correctly. I'm out of time today, but I'll try flowline Monday.

Thanks for all the help :>)
