Anyone using Nvidia Quadro 1400FX?

Hello,

 

I would appreciate if someone using this card could tell me if it works ok with X4.

Do you have to turn off hardware acceleration?

We're running Quadro FX-3450's

on XPx32 machines here.

X4 runs fine.

I have a Quadro FX-3450 at home

on a Win7x64 machine and X4

runs well there also.

 

I would expect the FX-1400 to behave the same or better as it is a newer model.

 

I refuse to disable hardware acceleration.

It makes no sense to pay big money for a

high performance video card.. then turn its high

performance features off.

 

If I can't get things running right with hardware acceleration on, I buy a different card.

However, I have never had to turn hardware accel off on a Quadro card.

I always set Windows video performance

to "Max performace"

This is optional on the XP machines..

but it seems to be mandatory on my Win7 box.

I was getting ghosting aand repaint

issues with Win 7 running the new "Aero" video

settings. Turning the eyecandy off fixed those

issues

I have a new machine coming with a Quadro FX1800 later today. I will let you know what I learn once it's up and running.

My experience with the fx1100, fx550, and fx3400. All worked good with acceleration enabled. I'm with Gcode on this one. Disabling accelaration is nuts with a decent card.

I have a 1400 fx on this pc, it works good with x4 for most programming, acceleration enabled here

Hej Björn, jag kör ett Quadro1500m i min laptop utan några somhelst problem, med full acceleration. Jag har testat både med HP.s originaldrivrutiner och med en av de senaste från Nvidia. Båda funkar ok.

My laptop has a Quadro FX Go 1400. Running WinXP. Hardware Acceleration is set to full. Using accelerations nothing disabled. No problems here.

We are running several Quadro FX cards here at the office, but all are newer versions.

It's a customer of ours that can't get it to work with acceleration enabled.

When enabled Mastercam locks up for about

5-10sec when entering any command.

 

Since this doesn't happen when acceleration is disabled, i figure it has to do with the card or driver.

 

I'm using a FX Go 1600 in my laptop and it works very well.

Maybe I'm a little late with the post

 

I'm using the Nvidia Quadro 1400FX as well, without any problem with the acceleration enabled etc.. I never experienced any troubles that could be linked to the card... I just need a faster machine generally..

I think now I can consider the problem to be somewhere else. If any of you have experienced the lock up when clicking a command, I'd like to hear about it. Otherwise I guess this thread is finished.

I'm having problems with quadro fx 1700 card and MU2. It takes forever to select curves on solids.

It was fine with MU1.

I have a FX550 and a FX1700 and upper models I run full on all them I do not turn any thing off.

 

The FX1700 is running under Win7 64 bit and works great.

the F550 under XP no problems.
