I went to X4. I bring in a model and some models I can pick and some I can't. I brought a model in and it shows up in the level manager but I can not pick it for nothing. Has anyone else having this issue?

 

I bring in parisolids.

MU2 fixes a lot of these issues. Can you install it?

Colin MU2 didn't fix this issue for me.

I do have MU2. I will have to stay with X3 because I can not program if I can pick the solid. I will keep messing with it.

Hi,

 

I guess you're importing the model from another system?

 

I had this issue until I got new graphic drivers from HP.(Quadro FX1600M)

 

Try clicking "Regenerate Display List" then pick the solid.

Regenerate Display List has solved this for everyone I've talked to.

 

Also try saving it as an .mcx and bring it in again. This would have the same effect I guess.

The use of Screen/RegenerateDisplayList should clear these up

Thank for quick reply, Pete, it works. i am so happy now, it gave me an headache since i installed the new version, i don't think i have this problem before!?

i thought there might be some things with my video card....

i don't know if any way i can set it up? or every time i import step files or from Solidworks files, i have to do like that again ?

No, it's a bug we introduced in X4 that will be corrected in the next update to X4.

So you are saying there will be another X4 update - X4 MU3? ...and we wont have to wait for X5?!?!
