Quick question and no I'm not asking for a post . Does anyone out there run Mazak machines using Mastercam programs? Does the mpmaster require modification or can it pretty much be used as is? Someone I know is starting out and just bought a Mazak machining center to go with his lathe. Trying to find out some info for him because he has never used Mastercam and has no idea what it really is or does. Has done everything with the Mazatrol control. Could be another opportunity .

I occasionally program for your Mazak, but I've never run it. I use the standard Mazak post that is available from all MC resellers. I did some minor tweaks to get the code the way the operators like it...cosmetic stuff.

We run 2 Mazak Mills, VCN-410A & VCN-510C. Our reseller provided a post that was close and we worked with him to tweak it. Some tweaks were specific to how we want the program formatted.

 

I have no experience with mpmaster but I know rigid taping cycles with Mazak maybe a unique code.
