Mick, yup our maintenace dept have one, and found to be invaluble, on all our horizontals (glf`s and mitsui mills) also used on our WFL millturn.

It is indeed a worthy piece of equipment to have for any size shop. Make sure you get the wireless model. Many machines today will not run with the doors open.

Gives you the data to keep your machines as accurate as they can be. A must for close tolerance work. We dont have one but we have it done by our service company.

It was the best afternoon we spent, ball barring 3x vmc's.

With parameter tweaking we got rid of north/south/east/west quadrant marks, and tuned the machines to interpolate to <8microns of roundness.

Now I know you matsuura boys will larf at that 'big tolerance', but we have value for money chevalier machines.

It really has transformed them.
