Verifying on dynamic mill is so slooooow

without true solid, verifying is good but can't save as stl file. with true solid, speed slider is comletely to the speed side and tolerance is .008. What is the secret to verify dynamic mill that fast enough and also save stl file?

I have the same issues... Also Verify crashes if the the toolpaths are too large.

Hopefully there is an answer... maybe in X5???

Check your filter setting too. If possible open up your tolerances some.

go to your toolpath page and set the arc filter/tolerence higer, i generally use 3:1 with great success

this will fix ( almost !!! ) the verify speed issue

Yes filtering helps.

Also my crashing problem can sometimes be remedied by doing the following;

Running one toolpath and save the STL, then bring in that STL and run the second toolpath on it, and keep repeating...

I hate jumping through hoops. Its just very time consuming... I guess its time for a new computer and maybe a X5 enhancement.

I personally like the slowdown. It will be even slower out there on the machine if you release to the shop that way (data bound control), so it forces you to filter / fix the issue before letting out to the shop.

i set the tolerance to half of my stock being left

so for a roughing path if im leaving .01 stock tolerance is .005 with a 3:1

You can also set your filter settings to output arcs in xy, this seems to help me the most. A lot less code for the machine to read, and speeds up vericut as well. Also makes a much smaller stl file size.
