(Free) Verisurf add-on error

I merged the new 9meg .stp file into my 300+ meg file to do some E.C's on the weekend.

 

A tiny Verisurf window cam up with only a yellow

triangle and Exclamation mark and an ok button

in it.

 

The file had over 3000 entities so I had to balance my celphone on the enter button and come back when it finished.

 

Then later when I converted solid to surfs to

get the model separated into cor cavity components

I had a verisurf error box with out of memory processing surfaces and an ok button.

(OK to all option missing)

 

Using the cel phone method again I came back to

find the surfaces were there and alls seems good.

 

Has any one seen this error happen to them?

 

Just thought i'd mention this in case someone at

Verisurf would like to collect info on it also.

FWIW, I found that a stapler works pretty well also.

I got rid of the bobbing bird beak in a bowl of

water yrs ago.

Rick thanks for that, but what I think you are seeing is where for some strange reason when Verisurf is loaded the error box shows sometimes our name even though it is a Mastercam error. It most times is a run out of memory error or something along those line because of the size of the file. Unload Verisurf open it you will then see Mastercam error and not Verisurf errors.

Ron, ironically I do have to do this again because

the customer sent me a file with a few features

suppressed. (Losing 6 hrs of reprocessing time)

Large heat sink 25' x 25' x 5" (40 ribs 3" deep)

 

I will try it again with verisurf on because this time

and the first time I did it at home on my own(salary guy) time.

 

Besides if it is a MC problem then I have no Verisurf issues with the correlation of the error.

Plus time is a factor on 'no' sleep.

 

I will delete all the old solids and surfaces not

needed just to see it it happens again.

(I used the Ramsaver after the errors for the 1st

time)So maybe it won't happen again.

Funny on big files I have to always do that anyway.

I just merged the new file in on this p.c @work to

see if I would get any errors and did the exact

procedures I did at home.

 

Nutin, no errors....all good and I am processing a few quick paths already.
