Ghost image

My problem (nuisance is a better description) has to do with video. When I open a program, i.e. Windows Explorer, when MC is running, and then I close Explorer, a "ghost" image of Explorer remains on the screen until I click anywhere on the screen or do a redraw. I'm running a Gateway PII, 266, 320RAM, with AccelGraphics Permedia 2 AGP x 8MB video card. OS is NT 4.0. I've had this system for 5 years and this has always been a problem with every version of MC (6,7 and 9) but I've never asked anyone about it. Like I said, its more of a nuisance than a problem and only occurs when MC is running. Thanks for any input.

I have the exact same problem at the moment with a different card (Nvidia GeForce 4). If I get it fixed I'll post the solution; maybe it'll work for you too.

The same thing happens with my Dell, Windows 2000 pro and 3DLabs Wildcat III card. I think it's a Mastercam thing. Really I don't even notice it too much anymore, I just automatically click it away.

Yes.... I also have the same problem with HP workstation x4000 running 3dlabs Wildcat III.. I do agree this is very annoying.

I just repaint by double clicking the window banner.

Nvidia Geforce 2 Pro

 

Sometimes it repaints the screen itself, other times I have to hit "repaint" or as Keith said click on the windows banner bar.

This is by design and ivolves the way Mastercam refreshes the display.

Since I'm not employed by CNC Software, I can't say anything "official" But if I had to put my money on it, I would say yes to seeing this "feature" resolved in X

Yea, I'll jump on the bandwagon here,-I get the same problems at school-

 

Its a funny thing, windows helps tells us all the make sure to set our color depth to 256 is we have redraw problems. Bah. I hate Windows.

 

It would also help is mastercam auto redrew after ever line, edit, nutrino collision- etc.

 

The single most anoying thing is having to redraw every ten seconds
