H & D post out as 0

After installing x5 it posts out some of my tools with H0 and D0. When I look at the define tool page it says head # 0 and on parameter page it says 0 by the diameter and length offsets. In x4 I never had a problem but on the define tool page in x4 it has -1 by the head # and the correct offsets numbers on the parameter page. I do not have any custom libraries. What am I missing?? Thanks in advance.

Open Machine Group/Files in the OPS Manager

Check out the Control Def listed there and

make sure its the one you think it is.

I can't tell you how many times I've edited stuff

and it didn't work.. because I wasn't using

what I was editing.

If that isn't the problem, load a default

Mastercam machine and see if you still have the

problem. If you do there is something wrong with

your machine def/control def

I double checked and yes I am using the correct machine def and control def. I only use 1. If I load a generic haas file it still has zeros in the tool paramater offsets but it does post correctly. With my machine def and control def it posts some tools correctly and some with zeros in the H and D. Im confused. I compared my config file to the one in x4 and cannot see any differences.

Today, I crash a drill (.323 dia.), collet ER25, CAT40, and the part, the same problem H00, I copied drill from MILL-INCH and programed the first part H and D fine, I saved the tools used to program the second part, but when I loaded the tools they were all fine except .323 dia.

The tool library and tool manager still need to be fixed.

try this.. open the tool with tool edit..

change the tool number, hit TAB and check the D and H values

they should match the new tool number.

Now change the Tool number back to it's real value.

See if H and D are correct

Yes this works. But I have never had to do it in X4. Why should I have to do it now. The thing I do not understand is it does it at random. Out of 10 tools I will get 1 or 2 that post with zeros.
