Undo, redo not working

All of a sudden my undo/redo functions are inactive. It was working fine yesterday.

 

I am very frustrated right now with X5, too many issues to list. Considering going back to X4MU3 until X5MU1 comes out.

Never mind, it works now on Mastercam restart.

I have noticed sometimes functions that would stop working as well. Running ram saver usually clears these up for me.

The "Regenerate DIsplay List" command clears up a lot of stuff too.

Working with solids, I am sometimes unable to snap of endpoints and arc centers.

Hitting the RDL command fixes this without having to restart.

I was able to send our local rep a nice list of issues that was about a page long. I dont want to re-post them here as most of them can be read about on the forum already, and I guess that "serious" is relative.

It also depends on what kind of work you're doing.

Some functions are buggier than others.

I'm seeing zero crashes or data loss which is #1 serious in my book.

I've found some minor irritants..

The biggest issue for me was wear comp getting hosed in cirlce/helix mill.

That hurt cause I use it alot... but its fixed in MU1 beta

are you limiting the size of your undo file? If not do so as the undo file can get really big and cause some issues.

Thanks Roger. The box for limiting the size was unchecked. It was checked at one time but one of the several times the config file was corrupted it changed. Hence my original statement about needing X5 MU1.

I don't know.I think its defaulted to off.. meaning unlimited undo's are saved.

. back in the early X days the undo function would eat memory

untill the system crashed.. I set mine

to 100 events and 10 meg and its been there ever since.

I just set mine @20 and 10 megs. Im going to laugh my xxxx off if I find out that this has been what has been causing my system crashes over the last six years. The longer I work on a part file the more unstable my system seems to become. Hopefully this will help.
