Part I'm making

I don't see alot of the parts people on this board make everyday, figured I would share one I'm currently working on.

 

All done programming and began machining today. I'll post pics as I go.....

Parts finished. I'll post the final pics Monday. Here's where I left it yesterday (was off work today).

 

Used the tooling tabs to locate the part back on the fixture plates, used the riser blocks from the last op to clamp the part down without damage (along with some double sided tape). I then machined off the tooling tabs and flowlined the area to blend. The blend didn't come out as I wanted but the boss said it's good enough!

How many hours do you think you have on it (total)?

Probably 40hrs for setup, tooling and machining. I have a decent "button pusher" that is running it, he's a good operator just not a "machinist".

 

Programming and babysitting... probably 20hrs of my time.
