step 214

I need to export Master Cam files to Step 214. Options tab during export is greyed out, Is it possible to switch export to 214 or does Mastercanm only offer 203 translations?

I was hoping AP214 maintained named layers when imported into NX.

Hum might need to talk to NX then and ask them why they don't allow it before assuming it is a Mastercam Problem. :unsure:

 

There is a lot of communication items not being read or shared by other software and if you were on the development side of things you might be surprised how much other thing happen and go on. I would ask what is preventing you from saving the level names out as a file and then importing it into NX?

You will not be able to import named layers into NX from mastercam. I don't know how many layers there are in mastercam, but there are only 256 layers in NX.
