Display Issues with X5 on Windows 7

I tried searching this out, but don't seem to be using the correct terminology. If the answers to my questions are already out there, please send me in the correct direction.

I'm running:

X5 (haven't downloaded MU1 yet)

Dell T5400

NVIDIA Quadro FX 1700 (Driver: 8.15.11.8593)

Windows 7

If other info is needed, just ask.

When moving the curser over solid (or surface) faces, the highlight seems to cover them in triangles & polygons until it is covered (I tried a screen capture but it won't "catch" it). And the extra animation takes a while to catch up to the curser. I can be done selecting multiple faces (or whatever I need) before the graphics catch up. smiley-novine.gif

Also when selecting toolpaths to edit or display (I prefer to have the "Only Display Selected Toolpaths" button toggled ON), it draws them Layer by Layer. That takes a while for more involved toolpaths. But if they are already selected and I click the "Toggle Display on Selected Operation" button, they appear and disappear without hesitation. smiley-banghead.gif

I was running X4 MU3 on Windows XP, with a older computer, and had none of these problems. These seem like graphics card related issues, but I don't think my card is lacking in power. Any suggestions? smiley-dunno.gif

Thanks to all in advance!!

Im running Windows 7 without any of these problems or the need to change any settings that make my screen look like the old Windows 2000. Why are some people having to change these settings, I have an Nvidia Quadro FX 580 and X5 MU1.

If you set your video for the old Windows Classic, most of these problems go away,

but if you want the best of WIn 7 video features like Aeropeek, it takes somne tweaking to get Mastercam video to work well.

I still have SolidWorks issues I can't solve, but they get better with every Nvidia driver release

I run Win7 right out of the install with all the Areo stuff on and have no issues with my desk tops or my laptops.

SW works great no issue yet. but I make sure I am running the latest drivers alwas. My new Dell m6600 and my old M6300 I remove the factory drivers and download the latest makes a diffrence.

I really wonder if he turns of Hardware acell if it will work.
