Hey MC brethren, I came across this link in another forum and thought it was cool. Just to point out that this isn't a shameless plug, I haven''t tried their products and do not know them.

 

Link provided to the website so browse the site and check out their products and services just as a courtesy for the freebies.

 

Theses calculators come in a .XLS format so a spreadsheet application is required to run them. I tried the Surface Finish Calculator and it worked fine in Excell 2003. I haven't tried the others yet.

This is used if your radial DOC is smaller than 50% then the tool diameter. The Feed for a tool is always in the middle of the cutter but if you run a side wall, you need to increase the feed to have the same chip thickness.

Oh, chip thinning for the smaller WOC, gotcha...
