Teh Bear:

I have no knowledge about writing c-hooks.

K2csq7:

I have a customer that provides me with drawings with section views.

I'm trying to get rid of the hatch lines. When I import his drawings Everything is on one level and hatch lines are not drafting entities.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just have to struggle thru.

Both using Vector function or delete, polygon, with IN+ help but still select lines I don't want to select.

I run into this a lot with this customer. Was hoping I was missing something easy. Maybe an idea for a future feature in Mastercam.

If someone out there with the smarts to write a c-hook whats to do this that would be great.

Try going to your Mask menu, click on the "All" or "Only" button. Near the bottom of the pop-up menu that comes up is a button named "Same as", click on it, then select one of the types of entities that you want masked ( line a certain angle). That should allow you to mask and manipulate only the enteties that are similar to the one you chose.

Hope this works for you.

Just be carefull with other entities that might have some of the same characteristics as the one you chose but may not want manipulated.

'Same As' looks at entity type, color, level, width, and style. It does not check the angle of a line...
