9.1 Problems

I’m having some problems with 9.1 with service patch. When I post with 9.1 It won’t post out a G2 with an R. When I use V9 and the same post, it works fine.

Example:

9.0 will post: G2 X-9.2134 Y.7634 R.125 This is correct.

9.1 will post: X-9.2134 Y.7634 Not good.

Anybody have any ideas why it’s doing this?

There's a switch in your post to tell it what kind of arcs to use, R or G2/G3.

code:

# General Output Settings

# --------------------------------------------------------------------------

spaces : 1 #No. of spaces to add between fields

omitseq : no #Omit sequence no.

seqmax : 99999 #Max. sequence no.

arcoutput : 0 #0 = IJK, 1 = R no sign, 2 = R signed neg. over 180

skp_lead_flgs : 1 #Do NOT use v9 style contour flags

arctype : 2 #Arc center 1=abs, 2=St-Ctr, 3=Ctr-St, 4=unsigned inc.

do_full_arc : 1 #Allow full circle output? 0=no, 1=yes

helix_arc : 2 #Support helix arc output, 0=no, 1=all planes, 2=XY plane only

breakarcs : 0 #Break arcs, 0 = no, 1 = quadrants, 2 = 180deg. max arcs

Also, make sure you do the post updates if you haven't already.

After further review of your original post, and after slapping myself upside the head for doing the very thing I hate; I see your problem is not with R vs I/J/K, it's the lack of the G2/G3 all together! :smack:

Yes, try the SP1 patch for posts.

That’s not entirely true. It is putting in some G2’s and G3’s, but leaving them out in other places. So go easy on the smakes to the head. Cause I need your brain power.

Do you still think it's the updated post I need.

As far as the updated post. We have alot of diffrent post. One for Haas, Mori, Hitachi and some others. So do I need to update all of these? If so. Then Damn, that could take a while.

When you run the update post chook, you have the option of updating multiple posts at one time. It shouldn't take long at all. smile.gif

Make sure you are running the latest mp.dll.

The correct version for V9.1 SP1 is 9.14

The easiest way to do that is run the SP1 chook patch.

MP.Dll in your chook folder. Its create date should be 7/4/03.

Running an obsolete mp.dll file can cause all kinds of posting troubles.

I wanted to thank everybody fo the help. We just completed the part with the new post. And it looks great. Thanks only to you guys. I put a call into my Rep yesterday and still have not heard back from him.

We'd still be dead in the water if it wern't for the help from the people on this Forum.
