Qualichem Coolant

Recommended Posts

We sell Qualichem here. We partnered up with them because they are a Partner In Thinc with Okuma. I have not really heard any complaints from any of our customers. We have seen a few with foaming issues in their lathes but they were easily taken care of with an anti-foaming additive. We also put it in the showroom machines. The showroom machines often sit for a couple weeks without running and the Qualichem does not get funky like other coolants when they sit for a while.

I know this is an old posting, but I am using extream cut 251 and it is jelling? Any recomendations???????

What does the refractometer show for your concentration percentage? Are you using DI water or regular tap water? What is your Acidity and PH levels at? Is the machine dumping way oil into the coolant and do you run skimmers? Filtration to remove the oil? How long do they sit at a time? Do you have an air pump feeding oxygen to the tanks? What kind of material are you cutting? Some Plastics react to certain coolants do you have the correct coolant for the material you are cutting? Nickel and Chrome are 2 chemicals that stay in coolant so it you cut a lot of SS or other materials with them present are you getting a high level of them building up in the coolant? Many factors to consider and you best resource3 is the people you get your coolant from. Have them come in test all your conditions and have them give you recommendations on what can be done to correct the issue.
