No reference points output

Weird things going on here.

The exact same posts and machine defs at home and at work.

On both machines reference points backplot and verify properly,

but at home they don't post ..

This is common to several different post and machine combos.

This is super dangerous because I use Reference points a lot and an identical

file , posted at home and work give seriously different results.

Does anyone know what might cause this

I have, but I'm getting this on the same machine.

Mastercam will not post Reference Points, Masteram for SolidWorks will ... using the identical post and machine def..

I'm starting to think this is a Windows 8 issue.

I'm trying to route my Mastercam temp files to a junk folder in the root of C and it will not stick.

Every time I open Mastecam it has reverted back to the default users temp folder

More weirdness.. I did several new files today and they posted fine.

I'm convinced it's a WIn8 issue as I'm having issues with other software too.

Setting won't stick in SolidWorks for example. I'll probably never figure out what causes this one.

Tom try going to the McamX6 folder and look at the securiy settings on the folder and make sure your name which is a user and not an admin on Win7 or Win8 has been giving full premissions on the folders for mcamx6 and mcamx7. Also check the documents folders Mastercam is using are not set to read only. If so have to open up security and then should be able to change from read onlly.

The NCI will contain each movement in either a G0, G1, G2, or G3 line. So if the reference points are being output, you should see an extra rapid move line that has the Z move. (the NCI contains many other 2 line sets, but they won't effect the reference point output)

Try posting the NCI from your work machine and save it. Then do the same at home and compare the results. My guess is that the moves aren't being written to the NCI on your home machine, but that's just a guess.
