Sim Disconnected - NetHasp

I get this almost daily. Does anyone else have issues with the NetHasp? Is it just our network?

I get it every time I open V9 if I have an X session open.

As soon as I close V9, the X session looses the net hasp

Other than that.. no our nethasp is rock solid

I've seen it happen but not very often other then when someone shuts down the computer with the net hasp. We have had more trouble with not being able to open all of our seats without rebooting the computer with the net hasp. That used to happen about ever month but I haven't noticed it happening for a few months now.

Are you using a customized ini file on the client PC's? You point it to the IP of the server and can change the timeout values for how long it waits for a response from the server before giving up.

The custom ini file is much smaller than the original on in Mastercam 1k vs 4k in size

NH_IPX = Disabled

To change the Timeout -

Add the following to the Custom ini file above the existing entries.

NH_SESSION = 10 ; See Adapting the Timeout Length

NH_SEND_RCV = 10 ; in the HASP Programmer's Guide.

 

(You can up the values but 10 usually works for me)

You might also check under advanced power settings on all systems and server that the USB Ports are not shutting off. In todays systems they are set to turn off by default. I guess to save $$.

This has been recurring for weeks with our system, it seems to be more pronounced with two of us programming than only one at a time. We have tried rebooting the server, and that helps for a day, but its terribly wasting my time re-opening Mcam.

I have been Getting the SIM disconnect also, I have local hasp and not NETHASP. I got an update for the hasp and now it shuts X6 down 3-5min after i start it up. Dont understand whats going on either. Did a driver rollback and restore still no joy. Any Ideas??

I think i may have got it figured out. I ran the HASP setup, and it hasn't shutoff since i ran it. Been 20 min.
