OK........X7 crashes every time I try to verify???

close X7

go to

C:\Users\--- your login name here ---/Documents\my mcamx7\

you will see 4 ini files with names like

mwMachSim.ini

and

mwVerifierGUI.ini

delete them and restart X7

It will generate new default ini files and hopefully fix the problem

try pulling your config file out of the Config folder

which will cause Mastercam to build a fresh default one on the next launch.

If the files are absent, X7 is supposed to create fresh default ini file when it's launched.

Obviously, its not doing that.

Another thing you could try is to launch the computer with a new username.. which will create a whole

new mymcam7 folder for the new user.. this should contain the missing ini files

which you could then copy to your mymcam7 folder.

Mastercam uses OpenG/L for it's graphics

ATI does not support OpenG/L which is why things started working when you shut if off in your Config settings.

The preferred video cards for Mastercam are Nvido Quadro cards or high end Nvidia GeForce gaming cards.

People do run Mastercam successfully with ATI cards but its not the easy way to go.

Every time I try to verify an x6 file or a newly created file in X7 Mcam crashes??

I saw this problem at a customer this week, migration had changed his "Shareddir" registry setting to mcamx6

I would delete your mcamx.config in your my mcamx7\config folder and delete the Mastercam X7 entry in the registry and it should be fine
