Just wished you could link it up to your mouse receiver so that it wont take up a usb port on the laptop.

This would have to compatible with say Logitechs USB dongle that supports multi connections.

If 3D Connexion was still a Logitech company, there might be some chance of it supporting

the Logitech Unifying Device protcols. ( one usb receiver for multiple devices).. but it's my understanding that

3D Connexion was purchased by private investors some time ago and is no longer part of the

Logitech family.

I have absolutely no use for wireless, but then again I never work on the road. Wired keyboard, wired trackball, wired Space Pilot, all very reliable and I don't keep going through batteries. Wireless won't be too bad when they get power beamed to them I guess, I just hope my Trackman Marble lasts until then; I don't think they make the corded version anymore.

@ Matthew, I have a solared powered keyboard and a rechargeable mouse that can be charged while using it and can not be happier.

 

@ Gcode you are correct they are no longer a Logitech company. But all my other devices are logitech that is for sure.

I asked if they had a wireless in the works about 2 months ago when I was looking for one for my home laptop setup. They said no. Ended up getting a space explorer.

Well a few units have come into our office today. The new option of the SpaceMouse Wireless has a good weight behind it. the rubber on the bottom also creates a good grip on my smooth desktop.

 

Charging it now to take it for a test run on one of our Dell Precision Laptops.

I have now and have not seen any issues even with a separate wireless mouse and keyboard from different manufacture's.

Loving the wireless version. Bigger base that doesn't slide and nicer side button.... oh and no cord!

I bought one for myself with my own money and we bought one for our Applications guy in the Northwest. He shoudl have it next week or so.

 

I've had mine now for a few days. If you do plug it in to your pc/laptop to charge it, the LED goes on. Otherwise it's dark. Works just as smoooth as a wired one. They should make ALL of them wireless now.

 

Oh, and no issues with my wireless mouse.
