That's exactly what I'm trying to do :)

Unfortunately, I can't open MasterCam right now due to me being away from the network that is hosting my license.

 

EDIT: How did you create the surface you used as a drive for the blend? Also, how would you rough it out before finishing it? That is my main question.

Use your containment boundaries and check surfaces to control it. I was doing s similar part (circular 3D) and the tech showed me how to create a few circles in the places. I wanted to contain. Worked very well. also I checked all entities then just selected my few drive surfaces. That also worked.
