Idle Mastecam session save and close after a said time?

Is there a program or something that can achieve this?

I have seat on a Hasp, the other 4 seats are shared by my helper

and the CNC department. Some users get side tracked for many

hours and leave their seat open and have to be tracked down

by our IT guy so other users can open MC.

Even a program that alerts the IT guy that a seat is idle for 15 mins and gives

him the pc or user that has left it idle.

We can not seem to find a suitable solution by talk and memo's....lol

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Rick

Rick, there is a setting in the autosave back up settings

Might want to try turning that on :)

Save and close, never mind

Try having the offenders drawn and quartered, after the 1st one, they'll remember

Have the computer shut down after 15 minutes. Not go to sleep but complete shut down so it will release the license. Anyone caught changing the settings will be written up. The 3rd time it happens they are sent home for 3 days without pay. Keeps happening they are shown the door. With a policy like that I promise it will come to a halt very quick.

Only thing is if Mastercam goes to a node lock process then all of that will be null and void.

Yep, we have other software that's node lock but it has it's own license manager so we can do pretty much the same thing. I don't think it would be very wise for CNC to go this direction since so many people like to take their HASPS home or go to a bunch of different un-networked computers.
