Create Curves

I had a question on create curves in X7.

 

I never noticed it before but I cannot select a window or all solids to create curves on all edges.

 

Is this the way it is?

Murlin was it different? I never noticed and most times only creating curves as I need them not for everything. Shoot off an email to QC and see what they say. Yes you cannot use window method to pick a solid you must activate the solid selection and then use face or whole solid to get the curves on the edges of the solid.

I always worked with surfaces so I had always created surface from solid then if I wanted curves I could select a window. Can't say I ever tried with a solid.

Yes, Murlin, I believe that's how it has always worked with solids. It's not that desireable, I might add. You can window everything else, just not solids.

 

Not sure how it falls in your workflow, but maybe you can have MC create edge curves upon importing the file?

+1 Thad. I have used either ctl + a or used the select body button. Which gives me everything or allows me to choose the individual solids.

When you create curves from a solid, you have to turn on solid selection
