musical instruments on cnc

Hello there

 

Does anyone have any MC or CAD files of guitars that they don't mind sharing? I am doing a benchmark 3D toolpath for a customer and would rather use actual guitar dimensions.

Wasnt There was a Solid of a strat body in the vs 7.0 or 8.0 sample files...?

Look on the Solidwork Website if you have access. I have an electric on that at one time.

I have a couple of 2d dxf file that you could extrude into a guitar body - real quick!

double cut-away les paul

and a custom design -- have dreams of building my own guitar one day soon!

Most of these come from guitar building sites - like I said I want to build a guitar sometime soon - and hey why not program it!!

Thanks Jack, Kinda one of them can do guys if you know what I mean. Well I guess I can let the Cat out of the Bag so too speak we are getting a 5 axis for doing Big models and stuff. I have got the mone yand My manangemnt title and duties more straighten out so that is great.

 

I will keep you all posted but thing are looking better everyday guess I keep forgettign you soemtimes have to go backwards to go foward.
