We are looking into a Milltronics VMC and would like to get the pros and cons to this product.

If anyone has any experince with this machine tool, could you take a moment to express you likes and dislikes?

Thanks in advance

We had a Milltronics Partner machine. Made a million dollars with it.

American made great support from factory, parts were always available next day.

The VFD (variable frequency drive) crapped out and we went with an aftermarket Emerson model that was the largest issue we ever had with the machine.

Machine was not super rigid and only had 400imp rapids but it made good parts, there are many times we miss the "Old Milltronics"

I personally would buy one over a Haas any day of the week that ended in Y

What is your budget including tooling?

We are looking for a large envelope machine 60" x 30" for our tooling department and 30" in Y is pretty much a must have. We do have limitations when looking for a large envelope machine. Milltronics fits our budget, tool capicity, and speed. Would like to know the long term durability, service and value.

If we had a budget it would deffinitly need to be below 100K

With that budget, you will not get what you need.

I used them in school, i think they have a good machine. They had a Mastercam rollout at the facility and we toured the shop where they made them. The use their own machines to machine all the parts, not even Haas does that. They even custom built a huge mill to machine the largest machine bases. I personally think they are better than Haas machines.
