  1. We had a Milltronics Partner machine. Made a million dollars with it. American made great support from factory, parts were always available next day. The VFD (variable frequency drive) crapped out and we went with an aftermarket Emerson model that was the largest issue we ever had with the machine. Machine was not super rigid and only had 400imp rapids but it made good parts, there are many times we miss the "Old Milltronics" I personally would buy one over a Haas any day of the week that ended in Y
  2. In-House Solutions has a post for that machine, have your dealer contact them for a quote.
  3. Yes it is a OSP-P200 The manual mentions noting about this only how to set up the TC connection Using the DIR DISPLAY, I can select TC and that is only the first TC connection in the list, no option to choose another defined TC connection. Not sure about the DNC-DT, I simply transfer using TC to the memory and run from there; I can load a 2Gb file so I have yet to need DNC. It would be nice to connect to my other TC connections to get the file from a different programming computer, I realize that I can use a central location and store the files there, but If I can set up multiple TC connections.... I guess they expect you to use this schedule business. Fanuc lets me set up several FTP sites and connect to them at will by simply changing hosts.
  4. I can set them all up no problem. I do not use the schedule file function; I simply want to be able to select the file. Using the TC I am only able to see the first connection setup there is no option to change to a different TC.
  5. Question to the Okuma gurus: On my Okuma, I can set up many TC connections however you can only ever use the first one, what's with that. Any ideas, or is it a bug/oversight. On my Fanuc I can set up several FTP hosts, and change easily.
  6. Could be bad RAM? The error apears to be generated by Win32 MemMap. Some kind of memory mapping software for 32bit, idk if Mastercam uses that??? Is your windows 8 32bit?
  7. Looks like the guts for an e-stop switch. Go to any industrial electric store. They are not machine specific, and are an off the shelf item.
  8. We just bought the http://www.kellerfil...ingle_pumps.htm TKO-14. Machine is a brand new Kitamura Box Way Machine, been in the shop for 3 months, the tramp oil has been plugging the thru spindle mesh filter. We have only had the Keller TKO-14 for 3 days, so cannot give a really good review yet. It has definately gotten rid of the floating oil layer way better then the spinning disk / belt crap we have used before. We bought the stationary unit, could easy put a set of wheels on it, so unless you have more than 3 or 4 machines I would not think you would need the bigger unit. These units are coalesceors so they remix the emulsion, and seperate the tramp oil, a little more fancy than a vaccuum.
  9. If you stich all tthe files into one (copy and paste) then send it should work. So you have one percent sign at the begining and one at the end. Fanucs also have a parameter that indicates the end of tape can be set to M30 M99 M02 or percent. The control sees the % sign as the end of the tape and stops the input, hence your sneeker net. The software Ray speeks of is for the newer controls pro 5, with ethernet, so using serial it will not help IIRC.
  10. Try without the center drill, curcit board drills do not need one. The feed rate you mention was .5in/sec? That is 30 in/min and @ 10K is like .003 in/rev. I'd try 2 in/min @ the 10K
  11. These guys claim to have : "Long Fluted Machine Reamers" http://www.unitedcut...om/reamers.html
  12. Check the misc integers page, most millturn posts have an option for G107(G7.1) g112(G12.1). To do thread mill you will be going under the mill toolpaths option so your seat will need mill and lathe.
  13. The issue shows up at 10 to 15 inches a minute without high cut. I'm not sure that it happens with High Cut on; but why on earth must I turn on something to make the part right?
  14. No it does not; it starts .03" in and stops .03" shy, without the "High Cut" turned on. Here is what you program: (Sorry the picture pastes in the editor does not show in the Forum) (The Gallery will not let me upload any files to it; acts like it works but does not) Here is what you get: (Sorry the picture pastes in the editor does not show in the Forum) (The Gallery will not let me upload any files to it; acts like it works but does not) Note the cusps on the ends of the single chained line From the pictures you would have more easily seen what I am talking about, I wil try to describe. I typically square off the end of bar stock sticking out the end of my vice. I use 50% of the tool and an arc of say .03" with 20Deg of sweep. The part will have a small cusp on each end of the chained line. As if the stock was .06" or so oversize (and picked up .03" wrong in Y). The week after we got the machine brand new I asked the dealer WTF, they said that I did not know how to use the Hi Cut. So now I extend the contour anywhere where I want to completely finish across, and run Hi Cut on everything. The G80 also wastes time un-necessairly end of a drill cycle when G80 is read it dwells for 1 to 2 seconds, dont know why it just does. The work arround for us is a G00 repeat of the last point then the G80 this prevents the dwell. The G00 cancels the drill cycle anyway but the G80 is "cancel drill ccle" so I feel better having it there. The Okuma Lathes are top notch IMHO, the OSP control is Great as well, but this shops next purchase will be the Kitamura over the Okuma for many reasons.
