I use the Parasolid converter. It works fine, If you are using SW2004 make sure you download the MC patch for that version. We save our files as .sldprt and use the parasolid converter.

If you have a seat of SW at the same machine your MC is at, you can also use the "Mastercam" pull down from the tool bar.

Actually Greg, if you use the SW internal MC tap it does convert it into a MC9 file. I dont ever use it, but I have in the past, it starts the conversion when you select the "mill" selection from the pulldown.

I tend to screw up the geo if I go into SW (i like hitting buttons) so our cartoonists save it as a .sldprt then I go to the directory they have them saved in thru MC's parasolid coverter.

It is doing the same thimg, just different ways of accomplishing it.

Greg your right, you do have to have both on your PC to get it to work. Henk found the download that I was thinking about.... cheers.gif Henk....

I remeber, now, what happened. SW said that the programmer also need a seat of SW to make the "one button integration" work properly. So if you dont have a seat of MC at the comp that has SW running, the download will not help you.
