X8 s.f.c. bombs out over and over ?

I can no longer use surface finish contour.

As soon as I pick it as a toolpath ut crashes and the whole X8 session is gone.

Not even an error report pop up.

Single session open

1 tiny surface on screen total

( never gets past the name nc file, i see that for a second though)

Reboot pc

Ran repair

 

Nothing helps.

 

Any ideas ?

I cant get cc cleaner exe on this pc ( right now) how can I empty it otherwise

or just type in %temp% in the search programs & files....

28 gigs in the temp

Delete.

Reboot.

 

Still "X8 has stopped working"...

does it shut down when you select any surface, or just this one particular surface??

Shuts down 2 seconds after I select sfc as a toolpath.

 

Tried a new user, no luck

 

Tried an exsisting file with one op a sfc

From weeks past.

 

And it Doesnt crash !

I think your default settings for that toolpath have been corrupted

 

open the good file

go to the op that doesn't crash... and select the Save as Default button on the top left

then try a new toolpath

I had to delete the entire default file and bring in the one off the install disc.

 

( then bring in a file with a yon of ops open esch toolpath and save as default)
