Reversed ISO View

Mastercam has 6 basic views, Top, Front, Right Side and their opposites plus a single ISO view.  Unfortunately for me being in Automotive, most CAD I get means that single ISO view looks at the vehicle from the Left Rear.  I'd rather look at the Left Front! How hard would it be to create 3 more ISO views, Left Front, Right Front and Right Rear?  In older versions of Mastercam, I could rotate the graphic view -45° in X & 35.3° in Y ( it being a compound angle) & get what I want.  I tried rotating in V9 but the logic  eludes me.  Update:  I added a Flip X for Y icon in my Customized Settings & now have a Right Front!  But how do I get the other two ISO's?

You have to create a file with the views you want in them and make that your template file that you import all files into. You can get names of Views, but I am not aware of a way to import saved views into a file unless you merge an existing file. That could be done with a point saved in it, but if you got in the habit of using a template file for everything with what you want all setup then the work is done.

In my line of work, Iso views are more useful than Front, Back, etc.  I agree, I could rotate views to any position, name them and save file as a template. But I want my views to be Exact, with the Trihedron in the coner showing X, Y and Z at exactly 60 and 120° to each other.  I have 2 views that way with ISO and Flip X for Y.  My question is, how do I rotate my view around the Z axis so I maintain my upper viewpoint and the X/Y 60/120 relationship for the other 2 views?

As Ron said with a Template file - but could you not set your view sheets to give you what you want when you've saved the views. Then it's just click on each tab nice and quick?

Problem is the views he wants are not part of the standard views so the template file I think would sill be needed or always having to merge from a file to get them. There is the trimetric.dll that does a different ISO view. Maybe you could have someone code you a chook that has all the views you are looking for then you could run it and then have them. Would be a pain to have to always call a chook when I think starting with a template file would prove to be what you are really after since Mastercam doesn't allow the workspace file to be saved with more than just standard views. I think it is a great suggestion for an enhancement request.

Sorry I didn't answer you original question when I replied I thought you would figure out since you were so close and glad you did.

Thanks for your support fellas. Here's how I did it: New file, construct a X, Y, Z Trihedron each the same length, connect the endpoints Z to X, X to Y, Graphic View by Entity, Name & Save the view. You can do this 3 times, or use the Flip Axis icons. Delete the Trihedron, save the file as a template. But I think we all agree, if a dummy like me can do it, the pros at Mastercam should be able to add this feature with icons! Make Mastercam quicker, more functional, more marketable. Again, thanks for your responses!

If you start from "Top/Top", and put the Graphics View in normal ISO view, it makes it easy to use the Planes > Rotate Planes command, and watch the Gnomon on the screen.

Planes > Rotate Planes

and

WCS > Rotate WCS

Both of these commands show the Gnomon on the screen, and allow you to enter "rotation angles" for the X, Y, and Z axes. This allows you to rotate by a specific amount about any of the rotary axes. It would allow you to create your custom "views", without needing to construct any geometry.
