Active Reports Setup Detail (SolidWorks MasterCam)

MasterCam for SolidWorks

There are occasions when I need a more detailed screen capture for my setup sheets using Active Reports.  For example, adding an additional view (Plan view and an Elevation view) so the operator can visualize the part as it sits in the vise.  This may, at times, include some dimensions and a few notes.  Before Active Reports I would create a drawing from the part and use Snipping Tool to cut and past into a Word or Excel document and I could be as detailed as needed.  SolidWorks does not have Layers on the solid model side.

Does anyone have some tips on how to accomplish this task?

Thank you.

Use X+ setup sheets, it has built in screen capture capabilities

AFAIK, no ability to use chooks in MC4SW, so not an option

To the OP.

I use Snagit for additional screen caps, I have all kinds of editing ability, save them, then I merge them into a single pdf

I am just getting started using active reports. I have made some nice changes to my setup sheet, I am having trouble showing my stock in an isometric view, it always wants to show it in a top view. I'm sure it is an easy fix just not sure exactly what i am looking for to orient the stock to the view that i want. Thanks

Look to the active reports dialog. There is a setting in there on what controls how things look when output through the reports.
