Multiaxis Deburr toolpath issues

The method I mentioned in this thread had to be used in 2021. The deburr toolpaths will not feather out an edge into a flange. The toolpath wants to keep the chamfer distance into the face of a flange. Solid Chamfer wouldn't chamfer the part. I am using a 1/4 ball endmill. I wanted a .01 edge break up to the face of the flange and I know that is a .0171 Radius. I then made a variable radius from Zero to .0171 along the edge I want to deburr. I then made my surfaces from that. I offset the radius the .125 and created my center lines using flowline curve. Drove that center line using 3D contour with the -.125 in the depth and got a nice feathered edge deburr. Can't say the deburr toolpaths is not good, just is cannot handle a situation like this since the logic is doing what it is told to make a .01 chamfer all the way through the edge. Even through the surfaces around it are picked and I manually defined the edges it just can do the feather out I am looking for. Customer should be happy.

Hi guys, I'm encountering some issues using multiaxis deburing toolpath on 2020. Was trying to download the file you were so kind to post, but it wont let me open an educational file? any solution? thanks in advance

Yeah, that's a restriction on them so people don't go programming all their parts on free seats and then just load them into the industrial license to post.   This file was a bit of a mess, so I just reprogrammed it in 2020 for you.  The same caveats from 2019-2020 apply from 2020-2021 :) Things keep getting better!
