Sorry Peter, Thanks for the invite tho.

I was In Newton on Sunday nite with my sister. then Downtown at the Mass Eye and Ear infirmary on Monday, Then South Station and the Train Home Monday nite.

Here is a link to the parts they're just covers rather than a whole case. The engraving is a little heavy but thats what they want..

Nothing special :

Molds ,electrodes ,some prototyping .

Routine work .

No challenge .

 

Why ,one prototype was real fun :

Plastic part with inside hole of complex profile

140 mm dia 250 mm deep with undercut surfaces

The main tool was 35 mm 3 round inserts 12 mm dia Seco mill on the self made holder .

The tooling was 270 mm height .

Undercuts I milled with surface->contour with a slot mill .

3 main setups and a set-up on the indexing head to turn the part by hand every 10 degrees (I don`t have the 4`th axis frown.gif ),and 6 complex form pockets on the outer Cylinder .

A nice part to look on ,I have no right to show it ,sorry .
