yes.....sad about Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon....shocked about John Ritter.....did anyone see the Warren Zevon special on VH1....his last recording?...it was an excellent show
I have a contour chain that I need to copy to 58 different points.....these points are all on the same plane but they are ALL DIFFERENT locations.
no pattern... (like....random in space )
Right now I translate between 2 points...but this is very time consuming (click intensive)... is there a faster way...please help
Like rekd said...graphite is very abrasive on tooling.....cuts easy but hard on tooling.
Diamond tooling will last longer...but you'll need more rpms for it to be effective.
I would think you need to double your feedrate for roughing and up your rpms and feedrate for finishing.

Happy Canada Day!
I love your music.....Kim Mitchell, Sas Jordan, Frank Marino, the Hip, Big Sugar, OLP, Santers and

I'm running v9.1 mill level 3
This simple 2d swept is creating a funky move.
I placed a copy of the file on the ftp site, it's
in the MC9 directory....file name is delsweep.mc9
Do a backplot and you'll see what I mean?
I created geomerty 3x...different sync modes...I restarted MCAM...nothing worked
Please take a look.
Hide function......instead of just asking which entities to keep on screen.....it should toggle between (you can select) which entities to keep or select which entities to hide.
Same outcome but different selection process.
Tool is set to "as defined" solid tool in verify and "auto" on the define tool page.
The tool displays correctly during backplot and is displayed correctly on the tool define page.
hth you help me
I'm running v9.1 mill level 3.
During verify I can't get a 1" dia. x .25 corner radius x 1" flute length x .5" shank (3" oal)to display corectly.
It displays as a straight shank bull nose tool, which is no good....I am trying to verify undercuts with this tool.
I've tried everything, tapered cutters display fine.
This is a simple tool,I shouldn't have to create a custom tool profile for this ...should I?
What am I missing?
thanks for the quick response....unfortunatly I only have the MH 24TH edition (soon to be 25th)
I keep looking in the 24th edition...but I can't find.....I'll keep looking.
I never used them personally......I've seen them in use......been told very accurate but very exspensive.
Can the cost be justified for the job(s)?
How long does present setup take? Is scrap rate high? Is tool life shorter than expected due to runout?
Can someone explain to me please?
M12 X 1 5g (external thread)
I know that the 5g indicates the tolerance class for the pitch diameter.
But......is there any numbers to this tolerance?
ex: 5g pitch diameter tolerance = +.1mm / +.15mm
What is the difference in size or tolerance between 4g 5g & 6g?
I searched mach. handbook and internet, I could not find any hard numbers for tolerance.
These aren't prints that we produce. These are prints that we recieve from our customers.
We always make copies.....prints disappear , between sales,shop-floor and inspection.
We always have b/u copies.
