  1. Have you looked at Verisurf Reverse Tools? Depending on the complexity of the surfaces, we have tools to create the geometry straight from the imported STL file. Please take a look at our page. Verisurf Reverse
  2. Anyone having issues using ALT-A to save? I have a customer that says he gets a memory table error and it causes a crash. When he tries to re-open, it gives the same message and won't open the file.
  3. What type of criteria are you looking for? Just a general inspection form, FAI, AS9102????
  4. Thanks Guy, I need people covering my back. But why does it sound like you are in the next county? Actually, there are certain entities from Russia that are operating in the US. A Russian company just bought Adam Aircraft, which folded last month. They are looking to restart production soon. Just to ease your mind, the inquiry is coming from Boeing.
  5. American company that builds planes. If I tell you any more I'll have to kill myself.
  6. Arr matey, we be surfin the 7 seas, pillaging and other unspeakable subjects which will not be mentioned at this time for fear of legal reprisals. Actually, one of our customers has a facility in Russia and they want to run our stuff over there.
  7. Does anyone know how the level manger would react if I imported a foreign language, e.g. Russian, into the Level Manager? Is there a way to load it?
  8. I got this from our Director of Operations.Thought I would pass it on. "I received a phone call today from Verisurf’s Dell rep. and he informed me that Microsoft has had a change in their stance regarding Vista being mandatory on all computers starting in June. Mike said that as of June 13th, Dell will be allowed to sell computers with Vista Bonus or Bonus pack. I will ask Mike to confirm the proper name. The computers will be shipped loaded with XP and an accompanying CD of Vista will be also shipped for customer to load at their convenience. Dell will be able to do this until Dec. 2010." Thought some of you might want to know.
  9. You and me both, dude. Thanks for the help. We really appreciate it.
  10. quote: What's that saying??? We put the K back in Kuality!!!
  11. IMHO, it is a matter of ethics. When you start bending the rules, how far do you allow it to bend and how do you stop it before it breaks. I kid about my experience as an inspector questioning why I could hand manufacturing 100 good parts and be viewed as an asset to the company. But the moment I tag something, they want to know how the hell I got my job. Standards are meant to insure quality. Standards are meant to be held, no matter how ridiculous it may sound. If the customer wishes to accept a discrepant part, it is their prerogative to do so. But as a supplier,it is our responsibility to produce the best product, by adhering to our own standards. Thank you. I will now step down from my soapbox and return to my position, which is far from the QC dept. I once worked in.
  12. Keep us posted on this, Jim. I would like to know what you decide. Thank you.
  13. Thanks Ron and Don for chiming in. Just got back from a short vacation up to Idaho. As for the issue at hand, we are working on a solution to be able to disengage the head when declaring a probe change. Just need a few more tweaks and we will be there.
  14. Happy Anniversary and that you creating a forum that has been extremely fruitful for a lot of people.
  15. Keep us in mind just in case the fast food worker falls into the vat of fry oil.
  16. From what I can tell, the program by Key Creator that was previously mentioned is no different than Mastercam’s Change recognition. All it seems to do is allow the user to show the changes between two models. Verisurf is about to release a new product called Verisurf V5 Validate. It works within Catia and it uses point cloud data created from any system. The data is imported into Catia where the validation is made. It will also compare the points within a tolerance band and generate a report showing the error of each point. It will also be free for registered users and will be available following the Westec Show. Also, Verisurf is definitely an accredited standard program at Boeing, if anybody cares [ 03-19-2008, 07:55 PM: Message edited by: Tim Martinez ]
  17. I used to program an LK CMM using Verisurf and a simple VB routine that was written by the guy I worked with. I was easier and faster than using Camio. He is still doing it and has been for over 10 years. Currently, he is using LKDmis 5.2.2. He does all the point data in Verisurf and exportthem out to a csv file. He then runs the vb routine within his program which goes and uses the csv files. Call us up and we can see what we can do for you. We can also talk to you about how to best utilize the arm.
  18. Ditto on the advice to go with the faster one, especially if you are not the one footing the bill. When given a choice, always go with the best.
  19. Millman, Send you examples to [email protected] and let us take a look at it. Include the post name. In the email, let us know who you got the training from. Tim Martinez AP/Verisurf Software
  20. Does anyone know of a quick way of importing Polar coordinates into MC? Or does anyone have a quick way of converting Polar to Cartesian?
  21. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all those tireless members of the Mastercam family. God's blessing on you and yours. The Martinez Family
