- Multiple solids Center of Gravity (for EyeBolt position to transport big parts)

The animation option, is being developed to create industry specific animations with "one click". Currently we only support Molds.
But its possible to do any other application

About Setup sheets/toolpath, we have a few requests to include toolpaths in the PDF3D.
We plan to do it in 2007. Toolpath will be static. We can control what to display using the new history tree in Acrobat V7.08. see picture

We have a chook that takes points from CMM and projects on surfaces.
- changes the color of points based on tolerance
- makes a .txt report with point number and desviation.
The trial install X-MR1 was removed.
We are working on a new release for X-MR2 that will export directly to PDF.
There is no need to have Acrobat Professional.
"... The surface colors when creating them from a solid are actually coming from the way the face was colored in the CAD product from which it was imported. At least that's what we're trying to do. Yeah - that could be corrected (and probably should be). ...."

If this is a bug, please dont fix it.
As it is, its the only way to know the original solid face color.
This is used many times to show where the solid model was modified.
Speaking about solid faces colors, how about the ability to have diferent colors in solid faces?
Sometimes errors on shading came from bad surfaces...
Test surfaces with "check model" and "small surfaces" before shading.
Database allocation: 256Mb
If your MC9 file size (excluding toolpaths and solids) is less then 128Mb, 256Mb allocation is ok.
If you have complex solids, DO NOT allocate all the memory to Mastercam.
The Parasolid Kernel also needs memory.
Check memory in "task manager" while loading the MC9 file.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE .U3D CONVERTER
- export 3D files to PDF
- create Solids animation (Molds/Tools simulation, open/close/eject part)
WHAT IS THE .U3D FORMAT
- U3D format (called Universal 3D),
is an open format developed by Intel/Adobe/others to be the "JPEG" for 3D graphics.
INSTALL
- UnZip on Mastercam directory with option "Use folder names" to create sub-directories.
ex: C:MCAM9,
will copy files to C:MCAM9CHOOKS and C:MCAM9PDF3D
QUICK TEST
- Run PDF3D-DEMO.DLL
- acept defaults
- Select Solids/Surfaces
- Click "Convert to PDF3D"
- View U3D file
CREATE PDF 3D
- Use Adobe Acrobat V7.0
- Tools/ Advanced editing / 3D Tool
- drag a rectangle (picture size)
- 3D Model / Select the .U3D file / OK
- Save
