  1. Do a search on the forum. This has been covered before. It is possible that there is no problem. Post your code and verify it. HTH
  2. I believe that the second file merged would come in as is, but, I think you can scale it when you merge. I always open files separately, make conversion individually, and then merge prepped files.
  3. I just tried an existing facing toolpath and changing the Roughing Angle by 180' reversed the cut direction.
  4. Did these changes apply to all mpmaster.pst's?
  5. Look in the help files for info on updating a post. You will need to download the mpmaster from this website. Ask specific questions here in this forum. HTH
  6. 1-Verify the first ops in turbo 2-Save as stl 3-Verify last op against stl
  7. I got it, I had to put the * in the stegetool if statement. Thanks Terry
  8. Got this: quote: ... G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 N100<<--------------------------Good! T1 M06 ... M01<<-----------------------------Not good T2 M06 ... I only got the n# one time
  9. I know I have seen this covered, but cannot find it in my searches - Using MPMASTER.
  10. This is my fourth year here and I know when to push and when to set back let him fubar things up. I was looking more for some good ideas to have ready for when his way didn't work. I'm not into confrontation as much as I used to be so I just sit back and watch money wasted. I do a lot of the quoting and I know we are making pretty good money, so as long as I get my share, what he does with his is not of that much concern to me. To quote an unknown source - " ...I was looking when I found this one... "
  11. I am looking. Problem is, industry is leaving this are as fast as it can. Right now there is an excess of experienced people all looking for work. As it is I have to drive an hour to get to the closest shop that will pay me any where near what I should be making. The job really ain't that bad, except for the boss's anality, daddy's little girl playing vice president (we have 8 employees, do we really need a vice p), and the son-in-law (what an idiot).
  12. Hardmill: I'll use yours as plan B John: I have a very anal and intrusive boss in a very small shop located in a region where jobs like mine are few and far between. If he tells me to mill slots in the VMC table, then thats what I will do. I learned early on in my employment here that as long as I do what I am told then my a%% is covered and I can f^^k up all I want. See previous condition of doing it the way I was told to do it. Just the way it is. I am looking for employment that offers relocation benefits. Hint Hint.
  13. All very good points... Must get out negotiating skills now...
  14. Thank you hardmill. I tend to agree with you all. Maybe there is time to change his mind. I didn't mention mtl is a2. Thanks all.
  15. Using a helix cycle (with a finish pass) I should get a flat bottom with either tool. Do you have a another reason for preferring the 3/4?
  16. I have choice between 3/4 inserted cutter and 1-1/4 inserted cutter. Will be using a helix cycle to create 1-1/2" diam c'bore. Boss wants me to use 1-1/4 and I would rather use 3/4. Hole will be drilled for 1-1/16 body drill before(sic) cutting c'bore. Which tool would you use?
  17. DavidB you can get the Jergens files from their website.
  18. Are all your other paths working right? The file may have become corrupted somehow or removed. Try replacing the files from the good seat. Ossian..... between Markle and Bluffton? You work at Hower Tool? I used to live in Markle. Worked for Allied Signal In Huntington, Kaiser Tool In FtWayne, Hower Tool and then Minnich Manuf. in Ft Wayne. Moved back to TN after that.
  19. IF you are going to be doing highspeed, you will probably want to go hsk other than that I would go cat 50if you're going to be doing a lot of steel. discussion of cat50 vs hsk edit: do you're homework, alot of options in horizontals.
  20. I need to know if it takes a null modem or pass thru cable between the CMM and PC in digitize mode? TIA.

  22. For me it wouldn't matter, the machine was delivered with an incorrect configuration, I would go through my paperwork, and then someones head would roll.
  23. Man can I relate to all these complaints! I like being able to send drawings to my customers in pdf because they tend to send them over to other shops for comparitive quoting. That is the only use I have for'em thouogh.
