  1. I'm still on X3 but I'd imagine this would be the same... How do you delete a tool from a library? Thanks in advance Jim
  2. My old Dell died and my Programming box has died. Bought a new Dell laptop with Win 7 on it. I've got mastercam installed again and finally got the hasp to work. I have some lathe parts to get out the door but when I go to program them, there are no tool libraries. What have I got to do??? Never seen this issue before. Used to run XP Pro and all was good. Is this a Win 7 issue? 64 bit.
  3. My mill does S200 M4 M29 S200 G99 G74 Z-.875 F12.5 G80 Works fine. But the lathe won't. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
  4. I have a Fanuc question about tapping on my Daewoo turning center. Fanuc 0iTc control with rigid tapping This works nicely to tap a 3/8-16 thread % O0009 G20 G0 T1111 G18 G97 S200 M03 G0 G54 X0. Z.25 M8 Z.1 M29 S200 G99 G84 Z-.825 R.1 F.0625 G80 M05 G0 Z.25 M03 M9 G28 U0. W0. M05 T1100 M30 % I need to do a left hand thread. I've never done this... I know, strange but true... How do I do this. My post puts out G32's. I just need to edit my code to get it to left hand thread and then I'll address my post. Any help would be VERY appreciated Thanks
  5. My laptop has died (Dell M90) and I need to replace it Will I run into compatability issues with X3 and Windows 7? Thanks
  6. I work every day I got work Colin We've moved back to the garage with the economy such as it is... Let me know when and I'd be happy to have ya.
  7. Just tried the FIFO buffer thing. didn't do it. And I have a % sign at the end of program as well as at the begining
  8. X3 level 3 Using Cimco as the editor I can send a file to a machine. Works fine. But if I send another file to a machine without shutting the computer down and re starting it, I get a buffer overflow error. What in the world do I need to do to fix this Thanks
  9. Awesome Thank you Sir. It's amazing what you forget when you don't set the thing up every day...
  10. My computer crashed and I've had to completely rebuild it. Anyway, I have been using the Cimco editor from I think ver 8 or 9. Long time anyway. I'm at X3. I've pointe4d to where Cimco is on the drive but when I post anything it comes up in the MC editor. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance
  11. Had two computers crash this week.... So I took an office puter and reinstalled X3 on it. How do I get my Cimco editor back? I know it's something really simple.
  12. We are dead slow here. Moved back to the old shop because of it. Going to let my haas lathe go away. Any of you busy shops want to off load anything let me know.
  13. I think I might ned schoolin here. I use negative tool offsets. I set tools off the presetter on the table. It's 2.0 inches high. Then set the G54 Z offset from that. That would be a positive number but the actual tool offsets are negative. What the heck are you guys talking about to get positive numbers?????
  14. Man, I guess so do I. I alsways just edit in the moves when doing tailstock work... Jim Teh Slow....
  15. Did a side by side on both systems here. No issues yet...
  16. quote: Down loading now!! 1 hours 9 minutes to go....... I cheated Downloaded to the server then click and drag to each puter... Jim teh Cheater
  17. It had to be something in the geometry. I added a line in to the rad at both ends and rechained it and that fixed it. Too strange....
  18. This is a simple open contour. I'd take a screen shot but I got no idea how to do that. rectangulat part. think of the perif offset in about a half inch. three sides and there is a radius that meats the outside perif. If I tell the lead in and outs tab to extend the begining and end of that profile, it omits the radius' and extends the two straight lines. Does it in X2 MR2 and in X3 Gotta be sumpin I'm doing wrong. Went back and trimmed the arc and lines to each other. Same Oh... Top plane, I never saw anything about gouge checking. This is just a simple little profile.
