My old Dell died and my Programming box has died.
Bought a new Dell laptop with Win 7 on it. I've got mastercam installed again and finally got the hasp to work. I have some lathe parts to get out the door but when I go to program them, there are no tool libraries.
What have I got to do???
Never seen this issue before. Used to run XP Pro and all was good. Is this a Win 7 issue? 64 bit.
I have a Fanuc question about tapping on my Daewoo turning center. Fanuc 0iTc control with rigid tapping
This works nicely to tap a 3/8-16 thread

I need to do a left hand thread. I've never done this...
I know, strange but true...
How do I do this.
My post puts out G32's. I just need to edit my code to get it to left hand thread and then I'll address my post.
Any help would be VERY appreciated
Thanks
X3 level 3
Using Cimco as the editor
I can send a file to a machine. Works fine. But if I send another file to a machine without shutting the computer down and re starting it, I get a buffer overflow error.
What in the world do I need to do to fix this
Thanks
My computer crashed and I've had to completely rebuild it. Anyway, I have been using the Cimco editor from I think ver 8 or 9. Long time anyway.
I'm at X3. I've pointe4d to where Cimco is on the drive but when I post anything it comes up in the MC editor.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Had two computers crash this week....
So I took an office puter and reinstalled X3 on it. How do I get my Cimco editor back?
I know it's something really simple.
We are dead slow here. Moved back to the old shop because of it.
Going to let my haas lathe go away.
Any of you busy shops want to off load anything let me know.
I think I might ned schoolin here.
I use negative tool offsets. I set tools off the presetter on the table. It's 2.0 inches high. Then set the G54 Z offset from that. That would be a positive number but the actual tool offsets are negative. What the heck are you guys talking about to get positive numbers?????
This is a simple open contour. I'd take a screen shot but I got no idea how to do that. rectangulat part. think of the perif offset in about a half inch. three sides and there is a radius that meats the outside perif. If I tell the lead in and outs tab to extend the begining and end of that profile, it omits the radius' and extends the two straight lines. Does it in X2 MR2 and in X3
Gotta be sumpin I'm doing wrong. Went back and trimmed the arc and lines to each other. Same Oh...
Top plane, I never saw anything about gouge checking. This is just a simple little profile.
