I got this Akira Seiki 4020 with a Mits Meldas M64 control
Anyone here have one??????
I need some pretty specific info about communications settings.
I don't need a post though. My reseller heard I was gettin the machine and sent me one ...
My email is in my profile. This is gonna take a phone call though. I got parts what need makin.
You're right John. There is no such thing as bug free software. But, what about the High Speed toolpaths that were not right in ver X. I got so frustrated with them not working I gave up. I paid for that functionality but never got to use it.
What about the tool numbers that change if you copy from group to group in lathe. That'll crash yur hunert grand machine. I haven't seen THAT get fixed....
I think Toolman is talking about functionality that we all paid for but can not use because it does not work.
You know Chris, I read this yesterday and it just hit me what you are talking about.
Many times I just whip up a little geometry to run lathe. But I'm doing more and more parts that are three and four op milled and turned parts. I'll have to get in that habit.
Thanks for the tip.
OK...I'm trying to change my ways and do things right instead of the quick and dirty way I been gettin it done...
I have some mills and lathes.
Mill WCS stuff I can mostly figure out.
How in the heck do I get the lathe Z, dia WCS to work.
I have some geometry done after I was doing a mill part. Call a new file to create the geometry. Oops...WCS is still mill. How do I change it to lathe?
When I analyze something, I get X,Y,Z instead of Z,Dia.
What am I doing wrong?
OK....Fanuc 0iTc control.
Daewoo 220a
Problem is....I don't know how to do this.
I vary rarely ever use the control (canned cycles...) to get something done. I "Think" you are talking about a G10 shift but I have no idea how that works.
Ok...
I have a couple hundred rings to make. 2.0 dia. too big to get down the spindle bore of my Daewoo. I', going to cut up some 6" long blanks and do them that way. The partst are .340 thick. I want to do 15 or so parts at a wack.
How do I get mastercam to do this??????????
Don...
Give me a call on the cell phone

Mine rotates. I'm guessing you are refering to the right click to get to rotate dynamic....I hold my left button down and spin the ball...
Unless I'm missing something. Wouldn't surprise me at all....
I got an announcment from my reseller telling me the Tech expo is going to be in the middle of next month and they are releasing X3.
Anyone else heard this?
