Anyone have this one? I haven't used our Haas 5x in a while. We went to post a program and none of the tool numbers and height offsets came out and the header is missing. ????

It does have to do with the printer and its drivers. I can print wire frames but not solids. I can't print my solids on a ricoh we have but I can print on a HP. One solution was to print to a pdf first...Cutepdf...a freebie listed in an earlier post works. This problem seems to be printer specific.

I'm yet to load X2 MR1 so I don't know if this would be fixed. I have my boundary set and chose constant overlap spiral with multi-depths. Spiral inside to outside checked. Tool does not fully retract for next depth of cut, it feeds across and violates the boundary. I uncheck the spiral inside outside and it doesn't violate the boundary but machines outside in which I didn't want. When its a single depth its fine. Bug or no bug?

I just got the e-mail and it left me confused cause I just loaded the SP1 last week. I'm looking forward to the MR1 with the tabbed views. I thought maybe I missed something. That alone should save me lots of time with the 4x work we do with the different stations. I would like to know when will we see it??

Lathe special tools printing out in the setup sheet??? When I went to print out my toollist in Lathe X2 the program just quit. I have found it happens with special tools. Once I deleted the special tool the GUI setup sheet came up no problem. Somehow its not being guided to the "?" image for a special tool.

Go to configuration and look for cad settings, you can change to 3 or 4 places as needed

Hi Pete, All is well, we have slowed a bit. You must be pretty busy with training. I tried printing to a pdf using the freebie offered in a previous thread...Cutepdf and it works. Its an okay workaround and it just might be the solution if we ever do go paperless. Thanks all. I look forward to X2. MCX has been great...very stable. Most problems have come from mcx setup issues which I will deem as human error.

Anyone know if they are fixing the printing problem in X2. My printer will print the wire frame fine but will output a blank page when I turn on the solids. V9 there wasn't any problem. Is there a work around that anyone knows?

What the ? I went to print and X MR2 crashes. I just printed last week no problem. I still have MR1 loaded and it prints fine. All I can think is I did a windows update possibly between then and now.

I don't know what to tell you, I just know I had the problem and the guy next to me just went thru the same thing with MR2 version

I went to slice my part. I had created a new view and all WCS, C and T were active with a new Zero point. When I went to pick the Z height the value was calculated from my original WSC zero. I had to delete my new Zero point for it to work properly. We tried the same thing in V9 and it worked fine. Just another bug?

check the tool orientation

find the settings in the old program your using and match them up in mastercam....this problem can occur with any communication software you might be setting up whether mastercam, predator, ncedit to name a few

Whats your depth of cut? This can play a part in the speed and feed also. For that size hole I would probably use a good boring head depending on depth...whats the tolerance on the hole?

make sure the nc name is the same on all your paths....to do this select all-right click and rename nc file name this should do it

So far I've had no real problems with X. Its a lot more stable that 9 ever was. I'm currently working on a fairly large file. I have it on autosave. When its saving the program "pauses" or "freezes" for about 15sec or longer to complete the save. The pause could appear to be a crash for the impatient. For what its worth

I don't know if this will help. Edit the tool and check the step values in there. I've had to reset these all to "0" zero. After this is done it will not effect the values in the operation. If the tool config values aren't set to zero, every time you repick the tool in the operation...this will reset the step over percentages.

I updated my lathe post to X and I lost my U and W values in the canned cycles. Can somebody steer me in the right direction.

I just updated the driver and it is the ATI...we are checking out a different graphics card now...if its stable we will go with it.

Well Pete, Yes its the same Dell pc. I went into the screen config and turned off hardware acceleration....and it printing works now.

I am running MR1. If I bring anything up on the screen and try to print it crashes. If I preview first ....it does print.
